New Finance Certificate Program

ULACIT and The Hague University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands will develop the Certificate Program in New Finance. This course is especially for those students that want to update their knowledge to understand, analyze or investigate trends in the development of digital currencies, financial technologies, and regulatory changes in the financial sector worldwide.


Date: From Monday, May 8 to Friday, May 12, 2023.

Place: ULACIT Campus

Price: $550 (21 class hours, 4 hours technical tours, includes an official certificate issued by ULACIT and The Hague University of Applied Science)


Martijn van der Linden, PhD., is a professor of New Finance at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. He recently completed his dissertation at the Delft University of Technology. His Ph.D. research is focused on the transition of the monetary financial system in the digital era. Van der Linden currently holds three additional positions: chair of the Foundation Ons Geld, treasurer of the Casco Art Institute: Working for the Commons, and chair of Our New Economy. In addition, he regularly writes articles for the journalism platform Follow the Money and is a consultant for various startups.

Jeroen Haans, MSc., received his ‘Development and International Relations’ MSc title from the University of Aalborg, Denmark. In his current role, he teaches economic and political subjects at ULACIT school for International Relations. Besides his teaching responsibilities, he is involved with the research group ‘New Finance’ under Prof. Van der Linden as a researcher specializing in the themes concerning digital money like Central Bank Digital Currency, cryptos, and fintech developments.
