Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data. All part of the computer revolution into the medical sciences. Their reach is unlimited, and their applications are endless. Having the power of computer processing for medical purposes has become the new normal and a must for new and better clinical outcomes.
In this talk we are going to go through some of the different uses of AI in medical applications and real-life examples of its implementation in the pursuit of the improvement of health.
Speaker: Dr. Daniel Rodrigues is the lead data, algorithms, and medical device engineer at Adapttech —the most prominent biomedical engineering company in the Iberian Peninsula. He is also the president of “Data Science for Social Good Portugal”, an organization created for kickstarting a nation-wide Data for Good movement. Dr. Rodrigues got his BSc and MSc (magna cum laude) in biomedical engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, where he also got the prize for best nation-wide master’s thesis.
