This course examines the principles, techniques, and uses of accounting in the planning, control and decision making of business organizations from a management perspective. Focus on cost terms, concepts and classification, financial statement analysis, statement of cash flows, the budgetary process, and product costing methods. Related theory and application will also be reviewed.
Topics covered will enable students to analyze and interpret both historical and estimated data used by management to conduct daily operations, plan future operations and develop overall business strategies.
